hey yall, there's plenty of threads about what is in your EDC but what about what you've left out? or retired?
I'm talking about the items that came into your EDC for some durration before you stopped carrying it, either deciding it wasn't all that useful or that you just didn't like it. Also, what knives have been prematurely retired from your EDC rotation and why?
I've removed my tiny book from my EDC, I would carry it in my back pocket. it was a handy thing to have for taking notes and making reminders, but one day I noticed that I had only two notes in there and like, 40 pages of doodles and jibberish. so I retired it. but I've been considering revisiting it as part of my EDC
the nirk Novo was a knife I carried a couple times right when I got it, but where most knives last close to a year in the rotation (at the least) before I retire it, the Novo lasted maybe a month. it just got dull WAY too fast, which is a shame because out of the box it was sharp as sin. also it had an irritatingly stiff deployment
