I will admit, Bigfattyt has been talking about his SS in other threads and it has made me seriously think about the SS.

I wasnt aware that it was a good EDC blade until I read the specs.

I am looking at getting one of the black crinkle coats with the orange handles. But Im not really ready, financially, to make the plunge :( (i hate having to watch my funds when I have Busse knives I want to buy :grumpy: )

So, as I try to decide what to do, can some of you that have the SS give some pros and cons about this knife? I have heard that it was a great slicer and would be great for cutting boxes, etc. What other applications have you used this knife for? How does it carry on the belt? Is the SS one of the skinnier knives from Busse? (from the pics I have seen, it sort of looks beefy - but maybe thats the odd shaping off the knife, I dont know) I would like to read some of your reviews of this knife as I seriously consider to buy this thing when I dont need to financially.

I just got mine last week and have been carrying it since. It is thinner than I thought it would be. It cuts like a razor and handles very well. I just got done cutting down the skull crusher bit of my handle. I wanted the knife to be a little more compact for carrying. I think it is perfect for me now. I too held off a long time for this knife and finally found a deal on the exchange and had to jump for it. I am so happy that I did.

Great to hear. I was wondering how it would carry and does the SS have the Busse "skull crusher" on it? Do all Busse knives have it? well i know my SD doesnt so thats why i was wondering.

It does have the skull crusher, or noggin prod, which adds to the overall length by a bit. The mean street line does too (same exact handle shape if I am correct). It is less pocket friendly than your SD is, or a game warden for that matter, or an AD either. I have worn it on my belt on the right hand, vertical, and on my left side, in front of the left hip, horizontal.

Recon, google much?
Your name is reconseed. ;)

They are decently sized, nice in the hand.
Its a slicer, I would go for the thinner satin one.

No I was waiting on a 14 year old to give me some advice on a better course of action. Then you said GOOGLE and it all came clear :)

I looked up reviews of the sus scrofa and didnt find much. So I thought i would ask some guys here who have them.

Reconseed, I got a SS to use as a rescue knife to carry with my fire gear. I was a little dissapointed in the stature of the knife; I thought it would be more along the lines of the BATAC as far as blade width goes. However, I do think it would make a great EDC and be one hell of a slicer. I got the black crinkle with black and orange G-10 and the fit and finish are awsome. it's a beautiful knife just a little small in stature for me.

O yeah your cool.

Thats 16 buddy. :p
:D

Its a nice infi slicer.
Handling them has made me want one.
It will be my next busse, the skinny satin blue/blk g10 version on the company store.

Or I might get one of those SD's that you love so much.
