I would like to hear some of your opinions on the SS, how well you like them how are they for edc, pics, ect. I am considering picking one up from BCS to fill a quick fix and was wanting some opinions.
Thanks HOGS!!!

I recommend holding off. There is a reason why they are still at the store..

Here's my Sus Scrofa with the custom sheath made by Dwayne Puckett, Armoral Leather!

It slices tomatoes & onions very well.

There are those that don't like the SS, but as for me, I love it!!

I'd tell you, but my wife misplaced mine. :(

I was using it as the PERFECT cardboard box hacking knife for recycling day and she took it to "put it in a safe place."

Boy is it safe. 'Cause I don't know where it is.

I personally like the Sus Scrofa. I have the satin finish with black/tan G10 handles.

It slices tomatoes & onions very well.

It also slices apples very well. :D

+1  I have used mine to cut up cardboard boxes and I enjoyed using it for that purpose. I hope that you are able to find yours, Dennis.

I wish that I could see the pictures of the sheath, but the government computer that I am using has Websense software that blocks a lot of photo hosting sites. But it sounds like it is really nice based on the description.

I really like it. I have one that I straightened the edge on, and convexed it. It is a great edc if you open carry, or if there is no length restriction. It is a great slicer, and I reach for it for most cutting tasks. Especially cutting fruit, boxes, shaving arm hair, etc. It sees more actual cutting use than any other I carry. The only down side is that I have to open carry it here in WA.

I am actually thinking about cutting enough blade length on my modded one to carry it concealed, and picking up another one to keep longer.

It is easy to sharpen on a skinny strop bat, like I use.

If you are thinking about one, look at the exchange first, then if you don't see one you want get a BCS one (just because you might be able to snag a great deal).

I think they are highly under rated.

If I could change one thing with the design, it would be to make the choil very small, like the game warded. Since it is a short knife anyway, there is no need to choke up anyway, and making a tiny choil would allow for more use able edge in a shorter package.

I had one. It was a good knife but I thought it was going to be a bit more of a wharncliffe...thus the "I had one". I was going to grind away on it and produce a sweet knife like Bigfattyt but I chickened out and traded it away.

I like mine, and will like it more when it is finished. Jeremy (HortonPorkin) Horton stripped it, put a full convex edge on it (while keeping the curve) and straightened out the nose for me with a slight swedge. I'm working with some snake wood to make some new scales, but first I need to decide on liners, and how ambitious I feel about file work.

I think it is a great size, and it is a super slicer (more so after the new grind). They are very reasonably priced. I got mine off the exchange at well under retail.

I have two one I use and an LE unused. I like mine for cardboard and box straps. I want to make a desert tan kydex sheath for it as it is less obvious to customers.
