Suscribe to this Forum?

What does "subscribe to this forum do"? Where would I go to learn about all the options and how to use them on BladeForums? Sorry for asking a "stupid" question but I know I'm not the brightest bulb on the tree!!!! Thanks

Evertime someone post a new message to the forum, you get a message sent to your e-mail box.

Actually it's only when you subscribe to a thread that you can get email notification of new posts. You can't get that for a whole forum (which is just as well -- most of the forums here have so many posts you'd be buried in email).

When you subscribe to a forum it appears in your User Control Panel. If you subscribe to all the forums you visit regularly you can go to your User Control Panel and see a list of your favorite forums, not cluttered up with all the others. You can make your User Control Panel the bookmark you use when you come to Bladeforums (or make it your home page) and have your own customized forum list. That's the way I do it.

The FAQ explains a lot of stuff like that; it's well worth reading.
