Last night I called for an unscheduled chat, and we had a great turnout. Many Suspects answered the call, and chat was livelier than ever. Sh*t happens.
And then we had a very welcome visitor; Ryan (Knifebomber) from the Strider Forum. And it occured to me more than ever that Suspects and Striderguys are pretty much the same guys. Ryan brought tons of booze and we all got blitzed, and there were hookers and lude acts and...
So John Hollister and I got together and decided that it would be great fun to invite Striderguys to our next chat this coming Sa****ay night (as well as every chat thereafter).
So now my e-mail is going berserk! I'm getting e-mail from Striderguys and Suspects, and everyone is looking forward to this chat merger.
And I received an e-mail from Custom Knifemaker extraordinaire Jerry Hossom. Jerry says that he's very interested in joining our chats, but that he will unfortunately be busy with the Guild Show this weekend. That's cool. Larry and Vince from Blade Art will be at the Guild Show with Jerry, but the Blade Art guys are looking forward to attending future chats with us....even if Tom Mayo shows up!
Seriously, we need to all e-mail Tom Mayo and ask him politely (or not) to join us at our chat. We should also encourage Rob Simonich to attend because everyone knows that he makes cool stuff, and that he's a great guy, as is Tom!
BTW, I happen to have a Jerry Hossom Millenium Machete arriving soon from Larry, and Jerry was not aware of this when he e-amiled me. So I'm especially happy that Jerry wants to join our chats! Our own Don Rearic happens to know Jerry quite well, but we won't hold that against Jerry.
