Last night I was going through my hunting gear. I carry huntingtrousers with posibility to button on suspenders with buttons on the throusers and letherstrops on the suspenders. (This is in addition to the belt and suspenders is terific if one mowes alot in the nature) The letherstrops was rather woren out so I desided to make new ones. I had some soft lether to sew them from and used my Case medium stockman to cut the strops out of the lether and I must say that that sheepfoot blade I keep realy sharp was extraordinary for this work. I also cut the holes for the buttons to an exakt size with that blade an its a blade pattern that gives large controll when cutting lether. Its realy easy to by new suspenders of course but I like to maintain gear that can be mended to work for yet a while.

That's why I always carry a stockman. Those 3 blades are the best combination one can have on one knife(IMO). I never leave the house w/o one!

I always have trouble when performing cuts like that with the sheepsfoot wanting round-off at the tip. Any suggestions on preventing that?
