I got up early and drove down to the Shenandoah Valley Knife Collectors Club Show, once gain, and the Buck Collectors Club had fantastic representation:thumbup:
I walked in and was greated by Jack & John Foresman, met up with Ken Burns, then Joey Foltz. Spent today with a Great bunch of Buck collectors. Their displays are incredible to say the least; their friendships and wealth of knowledge, are invaluable.
My only problem was a camera with 17 picture memory:(

Scott,
I really envy you. We just don't get that many knife shows out here in the northwest much less an event that is represented by the BCCI. The presentations that you posted look great and provide some good ideas for those of us that are just getting started. :)

  Thanks for letting us know about that show Scott...and thanks for posting the pictures you took. As Mike said, those are some beautiful displays put up by the Club members. I see the one with some folders in the second photo and it brings to mind a question I've wanted to ask about but I always seem to forget about it. When displaying folders...would it have any affect on the spring to show it partially opened instead of full opened? I've always wondered if the spring will get noticeably weaker after a few years of display. Thanks again Scott.:)

Will wait to hear from factory or one of you metal guys, but I don't ever intend to keep mine under spring tension for any time longer than I would have to. If I ever made a display it would have to be one that you took the knives out of at the end of the day or show.

I also don't foresee the possibility of one of my knives being in a case for a period of years. It's hard enough for me to not touch them on a daily basis as it is...LOL. I do know a fella up in Wisconsin though...he's had a bunch of nice old Schrade and Case knives in 4 or 5 display cases for a number of years. Now that was 6 years ago when I moved to Florida, and I'd be willing to bet that those knives are still in the displays. I've often wondered how those knives reacted to being "half-opened"...He would never allow anyone to touch any of his pride and joy.
