I have opportunity to get this one for really decent price,and it looks like a nice knife,quality and solid performer.Does anyone have any of these deluxe knives from svord,hows edge holding etc.......?I dont dont really know if i need this knife,but i like thin stock knives with this geometry,looks pretty sturdy too.all comments are welcome.
 
The Swedish O-1 is pretty much the same steel that Bo Randall built his legend on. Svord knives have been around for years. If they were crap, they wouldn't still be around. I've liked these knives for years, especially the 280B bowie, just never bought one because I have plenty of other knives for that size slot. Still might get one, but it's not something I need. It's a nicely slicey piece of work. I'd have a better sheath made, tho. Not because there's anything wrong with the sheath, but because I think that knife deserves better. Not much help, but the only way to know if it's right for you is to get it in your hand...

Well,thats hard as with most purchases where you cant feel the knife in hand you do not know if your gonna like it,and theres almost nothing online about this particular model of a knife,quality and the heat treat,no reviews and nothing at all.ps.I dont care so much about steels,but the heat treat and blade geometry,and overall quality of blade.I like the fact that its 3mm thick thats perfect thickness for my taste.

Well, if you like it, why are you here asking us what we think? I can only tell you how they feel in MY hand, and what I think of the build quality.(btw, I work in quality control, and Svord is OK by me) But, you don't know me, so you have no reason to trust me. That part is on you, you ARE asking the INTERNET to tell YOU what you like, after all.

As long as you are aware that the Svord knives are NOT sharpened prybars, as would be typical of many American large hunting knives, and understand that cutting technique is more important than brute force, I should think Mr. Baker's knives would be right up your alley....
 
Ill get it..am waiting for reply by few pple that own svord knives,but yeah,the geometry and thickness with nice carbon steel should be ok.
 
I assume this is knife made for real use,actual cutting,for past 7,8 yrs am thinking of getting it,now have chance lol,price is about 100$us
 
Good! I'm interested in hearing your opinion. Oh yes, it's a using knife, just not a hardcore using knife. It would not be 'the one-knife do-it-all' solution, for most people. But, as a back-up to a good tomahawk or field hatchet, you could handle almost any survival or hunting tasks you might run across.
