Hello all, I'm new to this subforum. I usually post on the RAT, Spyderco and Buck subforums, but recently I've been getting more interested in the vintage and traditional, kind of getting a bit bored and disenchanted with modern folders. This is my first, a Svord Peasant that I've given a patina with mustard and messed around with the handle. I have on the way a Douk-Douk and my first stockman :)

Welcome to the Traditionals! There is plenty of good stuff around here to keep you from getting bored or disenchanted. And lots of knowledgeable people to answer any questions you may have.

What breed of stockman did you order?

Thanks for the warm welcome :) It's just a Kissing Crane yellow stockman for starters, I've got my eye on a large Case one though :D

I see you already have the knife gene in your dna: got one coming and already eyeballing the next one ;). Not a bad way to do it - start off with a relatively inexpensive knife and see if you like that pattern, and move on up if you take a liking to it.

p.s. Be sure to check out the sticky "Links to Jackknives tales" in order to be properly indoctrinated to the Traditionals mystique!

That was exactly my plan :D I get the feeling I'm going to like the stockman pattern, the last time I had a multi blade pocket knife was a cheap swiss army copy I had when I was a kid.
