Svord VT Ranger & USMC Sheath

Can the Svord von tempsky ranger with a 6-7/8 blade, and 5mm thick spine fit a Ka-bar USMC 7" leather sheath?
I've been trying to help someone out with some measurements, he wants to fit the knife in a custom shoulder holster rig.
 
Looking at a pic, I don't think so. The blade looks like it's too wide (spine to edge) to fit in that sheath. Unless he specifically wants a leather sheath, I'd suggest a Spec-Ops brand sheath. Those accommodate wider blades better than the USMC sheath.
 
Yeah the thickness might get you on that one. It looks like it might fit my leather USMC sheath by width---possibly---but I think a 5mm thickness wouldn't work. My sheath is pretty tight.
