SW Order lead time?

Hello all. New forum member, but long time forum reader.

I was at the Machine Gun shoot up near Fort Knox Ky a few months ago, and saw my first Swamp Rat knives. I've been in love ever since. I SHOULD have bought a ratmandu when I was there, but I have a bad habit of never buying anything without tons of research. I just assumed that I could e-mail them up later and have one on the way to me within a few days... looks like I wasn't right about that one! LOL. 4-14 weeks! is that really the wait period?

I did a search, but couldn't really find any information related to order lead times.

It really does depend on what you are after, if it is a model they have made up at the time you order, ding and away you go. If not the 4-14 weeks can well and truly apply. I have had SR blades take past the 14 weeks but I was informed of the delay as we went.

As mentioned above, it depends on what you order & your timing.
I've been told 8-16 weeks, and the knife shipped in two... and I'm past the 16 week mark on a current order.
 
There is a new Tanker grey and black canvas RMD on the exchange right now, you could have that one in a couple of days or you can roll the dice from the shop. Last RMD I ordered I had on its way to the sheath maker in 3 weeks.
 
Awesome feedback. Thanks guys! Although conventional wisdom would just say "call them"... I'm running a business and don't always have the luxury of picking up the phone.
 
Email them - if you can post here, you send an email. (I've never called the Swamp to place an order)
 
If you want a rodent of any variation I'd place the order soon. They are very quickly all moving to the sold out sign. Must be transitioning time or something
 
yeah, we have seen numerous infi offerings of the RMD and its variants on recent ganzas, perhaps a sign of things to come?
