Another one of my back-to-basics hunter. This is is forged 1095 from bar stock - MAN ! Thin knives are hard to forge ... Its only 1/8inch thick at the spine. I ended up doing more grinding than expected because I was concerned about all the time spent in my gas forge trying to true up the surfaces and straightening etc. There were a few deep dings I thought I'd never get out ... but Whew ! a good reason to grind it real thin.

Handles are black buffalo horn. I heard that buffalo horn can shift a bit although this one has been sitting in the workshop for >12months, so I slightly bored out the pin holes and really peined in the pins. Any suggestions about buffalo ? I haven't had any problems, but from some advice I've been given it sounds like the pitts ...

Thanks for looking. Jason.

Can't get hold of the picture on my side. I was wondering if there's anything wrong over at the Fototime.

I like it but could be better if it was a little thicker in stock....btw, love those hamon....can't wait till i get your tantos...:D

Golok,
I can see it no prob, could it be your computer or connection instead?

Eric.

I like the thin profile for the slicing it would offer.

My only change would be to put a little (for lack of a better word) collar in the lanyard hole.

Very nice!

The lanyard hole has a Micarta tubing in it. It is countersunk flush with the surface so you can't actually see it real well. Jason.
