I have seen in several survival manuals the recommendation to build a raised swamp bed in wet enviroments.I have tried it yet and I want you input on how to make and use one. Thanks in advance.

I've used these a lot in low jungle. Actually real simple to build. Four forked sticks stuck in the ground, a couple of cross pieces then lay longer sticks across this and lash it all together. Not only does it protect you from water but also keeps a lot of the ground crawling bugs at bay, especially if you deet the support poles

Swamp beds also keep the ground from sapping away body heat. For a more comfortable rest use a tarp wrapped around the longer sections in an improvised stretcher configuration. When you use the tarp design the bed is actually more comfortable than a Therma-Rest mattress.
