I recently sold a few extra antique firearms I've had setting around for years and have decided that I want to put that money into some new sharpened steel. I'm debating on which way to go. I'm a knife nut but have always kept my love for blades to what I would consider 'affordable' blades. I'm a big fan of some of Benchmade and ESEE's offerings and have always enjoyed tinkering around with Beckers, as well as Ranger and RAT knives from Ontario.
Recently I have been eyeing Swamp Rat knives and am trying to decide how the companies offerings work. I've been on the web site and am considering orderings several of what they are currently offering for order(Ratmandu, Rodent 3, Rodent 6, Rodent 9, Rucki and Solution). But I see alot of other models and options on the forums that I do not see available for order on the standard order options. I know many were retired previous runs but how does the custom ordering from Swamp Rat work? I have ordered custom blades from individuals on this site but have never ordered anything from the Busse Group. Can anyone tell me how it works, what the time frame is like and your experience and advise in ordering and dealing with Swamp Rat? Thanks for any info.
