Swamp Rat - Customer Service?

I have been roaming the forums for the last few weeks looking for a good knife. Actually a couple of knives. Camping, survival, light hikes, etc. The SR line keep coming up and everyone seems to love them. I've also been considering Becker, Helle, SOG, etc. However, I have emailed them a couple of times just asking a couple of basic questions about shipping wait times and sheaths and am getting no response. This makes me a little hesitant to actually put that kind of money out and purchase one. Does anyone know about wait times and what kind of sheaths they have. I don't mind waiting a little but if it's several months that's a long time. Also, What kind of experience has everyone here had with response, warranties, and customer service.

Things can take a little time at the Swamp, but the products and guarantee are unsurpassed. This is a small outfit, and the entire customer service department is named Eric Isaacson, and though he'll occasionally get swamped (pun intended) he will always get back with you.
Most of the bigger blades have nylon sheaths with kydex inserts, while the smaller have leather pouch sheaths. Custom sheathmakers abound on this forum as well, and any style, material, or application you could have is probably being offered by one of them.
Shipping time usually runs 3-6 weeks on most models. They sell them as fast (or faster) than they can make them.
Do not feel hesitant. If after all this recommendation you decide to order one and aren't happy with it, I'll take it off your hands.

t1 is right its a smaller operation and they've been busy as of late, but most people consider it worth the wait. Don't be afraid of them not taking care of your problems should there be one, Eric is on the forums here as well as at the swamp rat website forums http://www.swampratknifeworks.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi there are people who will gladly try to answer your questions until eric can find time to reply to you. Also it is rare that there are problems, but from what i have seen of the couple times it has happened swamp rat stood by their product and made every effort to make things right, I'm proud to own my SRKW knives.
 
Thanks for the reassurance. I'm actually kind of glad now that it happened. Coming over to this forum I found some informational links and lots of information that is very helpful.
