Swamp rat handle scale symmetry

Hey guys, me again. I noticed the handles on my PE are actually drastically different in some areas. Namely towards the lanyard hole on one side it follows down whereas on the other side a centimeter or so of g10 seems to have been cut from that area. Am I just being picky or is this unusual? Thanks

Huh? Pictures would help a ton! They should be pretty symmetric.

edited to add: You do realize that a Centimeter is about 1/2 inch, right??? Missing 1cm of G10 would be a pretty big deal! :eek:
 
The cm was a guess, and. Urgently my computer is broken so pics are hard. I'll see what I can do. Can you get me a picture of each side of the handles on a rmd or rmd le?
 
I don't have anything that shows both sides, sorry. Would have to take some, but that won't be anytime soon.

FWIW, the perimeter of the scales should basically be identical. If you were to remove them from the knife and hold them back-to-back, they should be the same (or really darn close).

We would really need pictures from you to tell if there is a problem or not.

I suggest you look thru the last several pages of the photo stickie. RMDs aplenty. Maybe there is a pic or few in there that can help. Also, many happy customers posted pics of their RMD LEs, threads are not difficult to find. Perhaps there are some useful pics in those also.
 
Well what I mean is it looks chipped off. One side the g10 matches the handle to the lanyard hole and on the other a little before it pulls back. I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be like that
 
VolundoftheForge, If you are not satisfied with part of the knife, send it in and we will make it right.
