Hello All,
I just wanted to take a second and introduce you to a new Knife company and website.

The Company Swamp Rat Knife Works was introduced at Blade Show 2002, the goal of the company is to offer an extremely high perfomance knife and at an economical price. We have succeeded with this mission.
We introduced 5 knives at the show, currently accepting orders for the 2 large knives(Battle Rat and Camp Tramp) with the 2 smaller ones and the Hatchet soon to come. If you have specific questions I can answer them here, over on the website forum http://www.swampratknifeworks.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=forum&f=10 or privately swampratinfo@bellsouth.net There is more information regarding these knives and the materials at www.swamprat.com
Be sure to check out the Blade Show pics on the Swamp Rat website forum and see the knife we chopped through a concrete block with.

However, here is a teaser pic of the line.

BTW, Dexter it was my pleasure to finally meet you and have a few minutes to talk. I'm already looking forward to the next show and hope to be able to spend more time talking then.

Hi Eric - it was also a pleasure to finally meet you, John (Nimrod), Charles (1whobuys), and Andrew Lynch at the show! Thanks for posting the intro to the SRK line. Congrats on a nice looking line up and a great value in fixed blades!

Dan,
If you are saying they look familar as in the Busse Basic line, yes they do look similar. There have been several changes however, so these should not be confused with the Busse Basic line. First off the steel is not Mod-INFI but rather SR101, the handles are Resiprene C but some improvements have been made since the basics. Also the smaller knife models will be made from 3/16" thick stock as opposed to 1/4".

We believe this is one of the best high performance knives on the market and at a very economical price.

These knives look to be very high quality. When you look at their lineage it is not hard to understand why. I am sure this new line will be very successful.
