Swamp Rat Knives Is Excited To Offer The Baby Galley Rat (BGR). . . Coming To The Busse Combat Website, Thursday 4-17-2025 At 9:00 PM Eastern.
Voodoo and his crew have knocked it out of the Swamp once again with this Limited Run.
The BGR brings form and function to a whole new level with excellent geometry designed for fine slicing. This smaller version makes for an exceptional hunting knife and/or camp chef knife with its very fine edge and optimized heat treat.
Like its popular big brother, the Galley Rat, the BGR is made with SR-MagnaCut steel. Working closely with Busse Knife Company, a heat-treat protocol was developed that allows SR-MagnaCut to achieve performance levels that are ideal for the intended task of this design. With a hardness of 61 - 63 Rc, you can rest assured that the Baby Galley Rat will hold an edge in the most severe of camp or kitchen tasks. Our proprietary heat-treat protocol, featuring deep cryogenic cycles and Transversion Wave Tempering, destroys the old adage of "Knives that hold an edge forever, stay dull forever". The SR-MagnaCut steel has been optimized for ease of re-sharpening and long-lasting edge retention.
The Nuclear Handle Option is not for the faint of heart. This option is a grab bag of sorts. You will receive a randomly selected handle from a pile of Nuclear Castoffs. This pile of handles has many hand-laminated G10 and Micarta slabs as well as some solid colors not normally offered! This option does not allow you to choose your handle!!!! . . . You do not get A CHOICE! You will get whatever you get by the blind luck of the draw! It is a veritable PORKpourri of oddball handle materials!
Nobody likes whine with their bacon, so we have implemented a "No returns/No whine clause"! There are no returns on the Nuclear Option. So, you can either play it safe or you can go where only the bravest have gone before.
