Swamp Rat M6 Questions

I want to get a M6, but can not find to much info on it. I would like yall's input on this knife.(goor or bad) This will be my first Swamp Rat.
When u order from the company store(in stock), how long untill it is shipped?

I am currently giving mine the once over. And I am plan on continuing to use it until Porkerson tells me to stop... :p
 
It's definitely a top quality combat knife. The handle is pretty big in relation to the whole knife, but it allows for safer hammering, and allows you to choke back (with a thong ideally) for greater chopping power. The thong hole is even in an ideal position. The blade has a great shape, with a sharp point if you have to use it, and 1/4" thick for prying if you don't have a bar handy. Put it in a Spec-Ops sheath and you'll be set.
 
I have read a lot about knives, but don't know piddly about sheaths. I am about to order a 6, but don't know what to do about the sheath. Of the two shown on the site, is the more expensive one worth the difference in price? If I look at Spec-Ops, will it be obvious which size will worK?

Sorry, but I just have not been to sheath school. Any advice will be appreciated.

abcdef, in my opinion all the sheaths are great ! I know that doesn't help your decision. I purchased the black nylon w/ pocket pouch only because I put extra survival items inside (stone,firestick,etc.) and find the space to be useful . Also I can mount it upside down on my shoulder harness and feel more securely about it. If you want a fast draw sheath you are probably better with the kydex ones which are all made excellent.
This is my own opinion and no test studies have been made..:D

Or make one yourself... It's really not that hard after you make the first couple of ugly ones. ;)

The factory nylon/kydex one isn't bad. I own examples of both Okuden and Buy Brown kydex and they are great. For beautiful, top notch leather you should check you Dwayne at ArmorAllLeather.
