Swamp Rat or Busse Combat <4" for EDC

What do you guys recommend?

Looking for a fixed blade 3-4" for EDC for general to heavier use and easy concealed carry.

I've been eyeing the Rodent solution and hairy carry and Busse mean streets, wardens, pork shanks.

Anything else I should keep an eye out for?
 
Just looked up the magnum bear cub... Looks really cool! Thanks!

I like the rodent solution quite a bit better than the regular rodents. Smaller choil.
 
Active Duty, Game Warden, AMS.
If you have large hands, the magnum bear cub will be too small.
 
My hands aren't huge but not small and oddly proportioned... Large length, XL-XXL width.

Have a RMD LE which I love. Looking to mix it up a bit.

All great knives. Might look at the Mean Street. I have talked to a couple using that for EDC. Can't beat that INFI steel. Don't get me wrong that steel they use on the Swamp rat is super sweet as well
 
Swamp wardens are great! Scrapyards have a lot in that range and you could strip the coating if it was black?
 
I like the RS !!! It has some heft to it and fits my hand well. One of my favourites is the HRLM, same grip as the RMD (what's not to love ;) ) but with a shorter/different profiled blade.
 
Swamp Rat did a small run of a variation of the Vex a while back. It might be my favorite edc sized Bussekin blade. You could check with the shop to see if they have any blanks left, and if they do you could have it made to your liking. If not they pop up on the auction site pretty regularly. There might be some there right now, I haven't checked.

 
For ease of carry you can't beat the Swamp Rat Swamp Warden or the even better Busse Skeleton Warden. If you want a full handle the Scrapyard 311 is both inexpensive and comfortable. The Swamp Rat Rodent Solution is also very very good. Good luck.
 
If you want to carry concealed and/or in a high ride style, I would suggest that you pick a knife with a short handle. Hides better but, for me, handle pokes and rubs less your ribs.

...er.... I feel compelled to add this.... Check your local laws for knife carry and knife carrying concealed.
 
HACK's are awesome EDC's. This Meaner HACK hss been mine for 4 or 5 years now.

I +1 what AZtim is saying/showing, horizontal carry is awesome for an edc blade. But I also agree with knowing your local laws, carrying a fixed blade has different laws in a lot of places, and in many I believe it has to be under 3". Good luck on the hunt!
 
Im glad that in minnesota, we can carry whatever blade that we want as long as we dont intend to use it in a violent manner..............seriously........

I snagged a SAR 3 recently. Its my new edc. Fantastic blade. Sturdy. Grippy G10. I won't leave home without it.

PA Laws are strange and vary from municipality to municipality. No restrictions to size. I'm covered with CCW permit.

Plan is to carry horizontally.

and even though it's not from the Swamp or Busse, the SYKCO 311 is another great choice
