I'm glad BF is back on-line, thanks Spark!

I have a brand new non serialized Swamp Rat Rat Trap folder for sale or trade. This knife was received last week and is just too big for my daily carry. I paid $149 for the knife and am asking $145 including shipping. I do accept pay pal.

Also I may be interested in trades up or down, I'm looking for Benchmade 705's in D2 or M2, Benchmade 710 in M2, Benchmade 941CF in D2 or a Benchmade Griptilian in D2 or S30v, plain edge is preferred. Email me at knifecoop@comcast.net with your offers.

Thanks for the offers but the Rat Trap has been sold.

Regards,
SK

Thanks!
ScottK

Thanks for all fo the responses. The knife has been sold.

Hi Steelhed,

Can you be kind enough to share with us your experience of liner locks?

Thanks very much in advance.

Nothing against them specifically, I just prefer a few of the newer locks on the market, and the frame lock best of all. I have induced lock failure in more liner locks that any other locks I've tested. This does not mean liner locks done right are not good locks. They are. I believe the margin for error is inherently higher with the liner lock designs. Why else would the inventor (Walker) improve on his design by adding another safety mechanism on his later models.

The frame lock is more robust because your grip on the handle actually improves lock up (in most grip and use situations). No folder is perfect, and if you want the highest confidence that a blade, which you just sharpened to razor perfection, won't close on your fingers, get a balisong, or better yet, a fixed blade.
