Swamp Rat RatManDu Spec Ops Sheath

Does anyone know if the RMD will fit nicely in a Spec Ops Sheath? It should fit--according to the specs, but want to see if anyone has any experience with this set up. Combat Master Short sheaths can hold 0.25" thick blades and RMD is about 0.188".

(I also have a new Scrap Yard Dumpster Mutt CG and would love to use Combat Master Sheath for both. DMCG is 0.285" thick! I've seen some people use Spec Ops with DMCG: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1joW6OBE28 )

Also, would RMD fit a Blackhawk Airborne sheath?

I put my RMD in a 6" spec ops briefly. Fit just fine. I sold the rig regretfully. I usual reform and mold the kydex to whatever knife I am going to use with the sheath. I crammed my SOD into the 8" Spec Ops that took some work!

I use long Spec Ops for Chopweiler and that thing fits like glove!

The RMD fits very well in a short combat master sheath.

Did you have to modify kydex insert so that it wouldn't rattle?

I remolded my insert due to an already present bend in the entire length of the plastic (came that way). I borrowed a heat-gun from a neighbor, plied her up and straightened her out (wear gloves for ease of handling), then molded the length tighter to the blade and the lip around the beginning of the micarta handle so that the kydex openning is somewhat flared to allow the knife to slip in easily and sink a little deeper into the sheath (the snap secures slightly higher on the handle). The result is excellent, no rattle.
The insert-opening on my sheath was ~1/4" thick, the RMD ~1/5". I did experience some rattle prior to proper molding, though other inserts might fare differently. If you have a heat-gun or toaster-oven, it's an easy fix (60 seconds).

I don't have the DM combat grade or a 6 inch spec ops sheath but I had an original DM that fit in the no-name brand nylon sheath that Scrapyard sells on their site. I can't see any reason why the spec ops sheath wouldn't fit the DM CG.
