I been making sheaths for different people and everyone has their preferences on carry attachments. So it was very difficult to keep up with my stock when people where asking for different hole spacing. So decided this was going to be my solution to that problem and all my sheaths will now have these slots to accommodate just about any attachments. It will also mean my sheaths turnaround would be from 1 to 2 weeks to just a few days (next day shipping for Busse-kin production kydex sheaths.) Would like some feedback before I start busting these out in different colors.

Looks good, do you make them for a Busse Basic 4 Magnum?

Thanks, I currently don't have a Busse Basic 4 Magnum, but what I can do is you can scan your knife on a scanner with a ruler, so I can start the design process then when I'm finished you can send your knife for molding and I can have it out the next day. I'll take the shipping out of the price. Here's a sample picture off what I'll need.

It doesn't help much but slots like that reduce the weight on kydex sheaths, which are already heavy for there size. I think those look awesome.

The slots remind me of Kiah's work - he makes all the sheaths for Survive! Knives and is definitely a selling point there. I personally prefer the slots to a bunch of eyelets which are more expensive to install anyway.

Just looked up kiahs work the slots do give it a better look than a lot of rivets. Last year I was contracted by Suarez International to make sheaths and holsters for their gear. After going back in forth with too many or not enough rivets we did a few sheaths and holsters with slots after every eyelet but our feedback was too have less slots more eyelets. I figured one slot for small to medium size knives and 2 slots for larger knives (one to accommodate many aftermarket attachment points and the lower ones for straps when carried in a drop leg fashion. Since I cnc most of my production sheath it was easier to keep the sheath shape, eyelet & slots identical to each other to pretty much just stretch the sheath or shrink in on my drawing board than to start designing each sheath from scratch.

Thanks

That gives me an idea....lol

Then it can be lashed the way you were figuring whether it be to molle or whatever along with the possible tek lok options that comes with kydex + those wanting to wear it on the belt as well. :D

Just need to figure more kydex on the edges then curve it abit like a kydex holster, because trying to run a belt through a sheath like this will more than likely snap the outside edges.
