Hey guys I was thinking about getting the rodent 9 from swamp rat. But I really dont know a lot about these guys, are there knives worth the money($198.0) and are there some better for around the same price? lastly is this one of those knife companies where you have to wait for 3yrs on a waiting list for the knife?

A member of the Busse/Scrapyard family, you would be hard pressed to find a better 9" camp knife, so yes worth it. Once you've ordered and this run of knives is completed they usuallt don't make any more. This makes it only possible to purchase them on the secondary market at a higher price,(usually unless the particular model is considered a dud, which doesn't happen very often).

No questions asked warranty on the knife life - does that sound like they're behind their product? Great knives, have a few myself, not really thinking of R9 as i have 2 other knives from them that are 9"+, but if you are looking for a beater, go for it. You will not be disappointed. You'll have the knife within 2 months, should not be longer, and can always email Eric and ask about how quickly it'll ship.
