Hey all, I've been trying to read up on the SR SAR (not the Busse SAR5) and there's not much info around. Anyone have an idea what used ones will go for? From minty fresh to nicely used? :confused: Thanks... Rich
 
Thanks...higher than I thought! More than a RMD! Hmmmm...to an eternal deal shopper, this is going to be tough!

I saw the swamp site and there is a cool thread on ratchat with loads of photos that brought the knife to my attention.

So many knives- so little $$!! :confused:
 
I think you would be lucky to find one, let alone one for $200. If you do find one for that price, I would jump on it regardless of how the price may compare to a RMD. Just my .02.
 
someone just bagged one on the forum from an old posting! 250 with kydex...hmmmm... I just ordered a used RAT rc3 for a small carry. I'm not familiar with RAT as yet, but seems solid. Not a beast like the SAR, but 1/3 the price! We'll see...
 
I saw that. I could not remember where I was when someone had talked about a SAR and so I actually thought that you might have been the one that snagged it.

I think you will like the RAT, but if you decide that you want a SAR down the road, it might be worthwhile to post in the wanted to buy sub-forum. You never know when someone might just say "what the heck" and sell you theirs.

I'm the lucky Rat that got the SAR. :D I have been looking for one for awhile now and missed that sale post from last month the first time around.

Grats on the RAT rc3, they are very solid.

Maybe that will help me with my SAR fixation- that and I'm stalking a Howling Rat! I should get the RC3 Monday...2 versatile sheaths- should be a great carry! :thumbup:
