Swamp Rat sheaths

Can anyone tell me what type of sheath is supplied with Swamp Rat's Howling Rat? I've looked everywhere on their website but can't seem to find out. I assume it's a kydex sheath covered in mylon but I'd like to make sure before I buy.

Darn! I know a lot of you boys like kydex, and I know it's tough stuff and doesn't crack when it dries too quick which makes sense for hard outdoor use, BUT... I like a well made leather sheath, guess I'm getting to be a bit of an old f@rt.

I find a lot of these kydex sheaths grip the knife like there's no tomorrow making it difficult to draw the knife with one hand, rattle and well I know it's vain, but I just don't like the way they look.

I've seen some posts on here from people who mention that their Howling Rat came with a leather sheath. Is this still an option or are these older models?

I don't know which you will necessarily get, but I ordered a Howling Rat within the last month and it came in a nice sturdy leather sheath.
 
All howling rats come with the leather sheath now...i just got mine about 2 weeks ago...it looks very similar to the bog dog sheath shown on the site...

I think they've stopped producing the other sheath so you will most definitely get the leather sheath...

Point44 is right on the money. All Howling Rat's are now shipped with a leather pouch sheath similar to the Bandicoot sheath. A picture of one can be seen in our forum here at BF under the Picture Archive thread at the top of the page
