There's a lot of different DNA in this one, but what an awesome little package I received from a great Forum Member today.

Saw the post after you had jumped on it and was immediately jealous. Awesome you got it and hope you enjoy that work of art.

It took a lot, and I mean a LOT of willpower for my not to buy that knife!!! I was jealous when Chad snagged it from the original owner, and I would have bought it myself back then (I actually did buy another Swamp Warden from the seller in the same thread). Congrats, that one is a BEAUTY!!!

It took a lot for me to sell this one, as a Krein fan and of course a Busse/Kin fan. The sheath was made for my use and was both the first stippling job I ever did and the first time I used the Churched-up fancy pants sterling silver plated Chicago screws. Enjoy the knife, it's a beauty!

The recent for sale thread listed this as Mega Swamp Warden, but Chad bought this from the original owner back in 2018. I believe the Mega came out in 2020, so I'm pretty sure this is a regular Swamp Warden.

I think it was just a mistake in the recent thread. It didn't really matter since it was reground anyway.

Yeah, it doesn't look very MEGA to my eyes... makes sense. If it were, Mr. Krein would have done himself some HEAVY stock removal to get it down to that thickness lol.

It's a really nicely done job though for sure, everything about it just screams class. The handles look like some kind of bead or sand blasted black G-10, looks very grippy... I love that feel.

Edge looks quite thin, should make a really nice cutting knife with that regrind. Pirtle obviously hit a home run with the sheath too, really sent this package over the moon with those buttons.

I see one of those memes.... "The perfect edc fixed blade does not exi....." Then there is a picture of this knife.

This is a standard Swamp Warden. I owned it for probably two years before selling it several months ago. To me the scales always had a blueish tinge to them and they were heavily blasted to get that texture.

I’ve got another of those reground Krein Wardens. The regrind is excellent and it’s a hell of a cutter.
