Swamp Rat Camp Tramp vs. Cold Steel Recon Scout!!!
Which one would you choose in a survival situation?

Not sure as to how many people would have had the chance to try out the Swamp Rat knife as of yet. They are a very new company.

I have not used either of these knives so I can only tell you what my choice would be. Knowing what I do about the quality of Busse knives I would choose the Swamp Rat. I have owned a Cold Steel knife and though it certainly wasn't a bad knife, it was nothing exceptional either. Someone I know has let me use a Busse Battle Mistress and I found it to be an excellent knife. Since Busse and Swamp Rat are associated, my choice would be the Swamp Rat.

I have both and wouldn't hesitate to trust the Camp Tramp much more than the Recon Scout. The Recon Scout will sit in prosperity where the Camp Tramp is gonna see some abuse.

I've got a year or so left before retiring from the Army and Busse (Steel heart II) is what I trust for my Field knife. The Camp Tramp hasn't been completely proven yet, but I trust that it will exceed all my expectations.

Bottom line: Get a Busse, or if the funds are low, get a Swamp Rat!

hiya Francesco, it's been a while since I heard from you. Did you ever make up your mind between the Fallkniven A1 and the Busse NO?
