I was just looking for some feedback from people that have either the Bushshirt or the Mosgiel. I am contenplating a purchase and was wondering if they are worth the money and which model would be better.
It seems that the pull over would be warmer due to the fact that there is no zipper to let cold air in but the mosgeil seems that it would be better suited to regulate body temp.

I am outside for extended periods of time during the cooler months and winter here in canada and interested in making the switch from synthetic to wool.

Swanndri also states that they have allowed ample room for layering underneath so don't size up, do you guys find this to be accurate. I'm 6' and about 160-65 lbs not sure if I should order the med. or the large.

I can't decide, any help would be appreciated

Can't help with the model you mention but I got one off the forums last season and it is a great shirt for layering, just enough room inside it for another heavy shirt -- but I just wear it over a t-shirt and under a parka. Mine has a short zipper for temperature regulation, which is great because I will overheat otherwise. Zipped up, no cold air comes in.

I'm 5'11" and 200+ so I wear XL.

I have had a Swanndri bush shirt for years. I live in a temperate climate so it doesn't get the heavy use that a cold climate would warrant. They are a great bit of kit, although expensive, but worth every penny, especially if you spend a lot of time outdoors. The fit is very generous, just buy your regular size unless you intend to heavily layer up under the shirt. I usually wear just a long sleeved flannel shirt underneath and that is warm enough down to about 5C temperatures, and add a lightweight vinyl raincoat in the rain.

Highly recommended.

Had and used the originals down at the farm for years. Yes they are worth the money and wool is excellent. My experience is that you pay a similar amount for synthetics to get similar performance and wool is better in the wet. Worth saying that we get plenty of rain on the farm!!

As to the zippered version, don't have one and I guess I just take my Swanni off if it gets too warm. I'm not too keen on flapping garments.

Thanks for the input guys, you convinced me. I will be placing my order within a couple of days. cheers !
