Swap Meets

So I'm goon to a big swap meet tomorrow. I'm hoping to find something cool.

Anything I should keep my eyes open for? I've seen machetes there, but not sure which brands to look for.

I'll also be looking for carving knives, but I think I know what to look for.

Hopefully I can find a nice knife of some sort in carbon steel.

Maybe some cheap kitchen knives to practice sharpening on?

I dunno... what do you guys look for when you go to swap meets?

Good luck with that. The one's around me have nothing but rusted junk, $100.00 Cold Steel knock off's and reproduction WWII German daggers. Estate sales, are another manner. That's where you can find buried treasure.

Just got here. So far I've grabbed a sweet loupe.

I actually saw a bunch of knives in rastfrei or whatever it's called. that's awesome.

Keeping my fingers crossed for a decent machete. Saw a Cold Steel once.

Found a guy selling CS, CRKT, Kershaw, Schrade and a single Case. Actually not a bad selection or prices, but nothing I wanted.

Didn't see any decent machetes. They had some from Handorous but they were cheesy. I did see some Tramontina... Steak knives? Had no idea they made those.

So in the end my loot ended up being a decent loupe, a Camillus traditional 3 blade (for carving), a churro (yummy) and a bunch of really good strawberries. Not bad, and I got to get out with the family.
