Well I originally planned on ordering the plain scaled small Insingo but changed my mind at the last second to a micarta version(which I love). I ompletely forgot I had bid on a new scale on the bay. Well my purchase was final and I had an open bid on something I no longer desired. Well shipping took some time on the new scale so it was a surprise when I received it today. I went ahead and swapped out the scale for I trial run and figured I would share some pics.

I really like the Canvas Micarta so we will see about the diamond plate. Let me know what you all think and if you have any mismatches that have lasted long term.

My humble opinion is the mismatched scale doesn't work with micarta. The diamond plate scale looks awesome though!

I agree. If I were you, I would pick up a used plain small insingo (if you can find one for a good deal) just so you can use the diamond plate scale with it. That way you will be able to carry the micarta insingo whenever you want it. That micarta scale is too nice to be left unused, and so is that diamond plate scale!

Maybe you could send in the diamond plate scale to CRK and have them make it into an insingo or small regular (if they wont put it on an insingo for you) at a discount?

This looks like a good combination to me.
The locking side has more belly and the decorated scale makes it slim and grippy too.
I'm not sure if I could use it though (I also couldn't stick it into the sand.)

Thanks for sharing.
