Swapping Handles?

so....how permanently are they attached? Say I had 2 of the same model knives and wanted the scales from one onto the other how big a deal is it?

I think the shop needs to answer this for you, but if it is a modern knife I would say pretty good chance you can do it. Modern to me means anything after the ergo series.

They are flared tube fastener's.

Get your self a 1/4" drill bit. Vice with a large shop towel. To clamp the blade in for safety. Quickly drill the tube to prevent spinning and burning.

Use a Colby bolt, or hex head fastener to re- attach the grip's.

Rinse and repeat on the other blade.

I think I have read Busse uses epoxy under the handle slabs. - After doing a quick search, apparently I am mistaken about this - thank you Cobalt !

I have never seen epoxy under any handle I have removed.

Has op mentioned how old knife is. E handles and older are not dimensionally identical. They vary.
