Help...

Thanks to uncle sam I will be able to purchase either the SWAT "eye of the tiger" or a Benchmade 43 in the next month or so. I am having a real hard time picking between the two. The good news is I ordered a Tachyon and am real excited about that. Anyway HELP!!!

Coming from someone who has manipulated both, I would without a doubt go with the 43. It handles incredibly. I think it's great to see other quality balisongs on the market , but when it comes down to it, there is just no substitute for Benchmade. Anyway, that's my two cents worth. They're both nice knives, though. Thanks.

If those are the two you have narrowed it down to, then I suggest the 43. It is an awesome balisong. I have both the Tiger and the 43, and although I like the Tiger, it cannot tough the 43 in balance, speed and sheer pleasure in manipulation. You will not be dissapointed.

How do you feel about Titanium? It costs more than aluminum or brass by it's self, even though the manufacturer of the S.W.A.T. bali states that his aluminum alloy is stronger than the cast titanium employed in BM's line, it's still a very tough material :D . Either way the swat bali has a coating over the handles which will undoubtedly chip or wear within time (unless you plan on letting it collect dust), the Ti handles can always be buffed of any scratches or abrasions to look brand new (sometimes better). In any case, who cares if the aluminum alloy is stronger than the cast ti, has anyone here broken the handles on their 42/43/47?!!!!CLAY??!!any problems with the strength of the handles? I somewhat doubt it. Good luck with the decision, I doubt that we will steer you wrong.
