Hello friends. I have a sway back jack in Bermuda green bone that is stunning but I thinking about a different color. I'd love to have one of the CV's in chestnut but they are scarce to be had. I'm on the fence between the cayenne and the crimson bone. I'm not really looking for advice on the colors being aesthetics are very subjective but I'd love to see pics of either if you have one. The stock photos usually don't lend the warmth of color that I see in the owner photos here on the forum. Thank you in advance and best regards.

I forgot to add that the primary difference between the two, aside from the colors, is that the crimson has a bottom bolster and the cayenne does not. My Bermuda green also does not have the bottom bolster so I'm not sure if I'd like the additional bolster.

Thank you sir. You simply helped convince me that I want a knife that I will probably never find :). I posted a cv/chestnut thread in the WTB forum but I'm not too optimistic.

I finally found the SBJ thread here that has a ton of pics, including the cayenne. Thanks again.

Love it. Had one before sold it and regretted it. A few days ago I found a hardware store that had two so I picked them both up and my assistants husband got the other one. Although he doesn't know it yet.

Man that ebony is amazing.........too bad its not CV. Why doenst case expand that???

saw an ebony on the exchange.......but a little too rich for my blood.

Thanks for all the great pics.

to the OP'er...........keep googling it. I and several others on here have found new 'old stock' SBJs CV chestnut bone knives out there. Maybe all gone now.......but I found one about 10 months ago. And I know ive seen several sense find them. But it took some serious looking.........and I mean serious searching of the net.

Good luck.

Jim

Thanks guys. I'll stay at it but in the meantime, the cayenne is really speaking to me.

I sold most of my swaybacks a while back and this one was in that bunch. It had beautiful bone. Case Crimson Jigged Bone LE:

Thanks Primble, that is the exact model that I'm looking it. This decision is becoming increasingly difficult with every post :)

I would suggest you see the actual knife you will be getting if you buy the Crimson. While mine had a deep and rich beautiful red color, the other four the dealer had at the time were not very nice looking.

Yes I agree. I prefer to with any Case knives but unfortunately that isn't possible in this case. Luckily, the sellers have provided photos of the actual suspects in question. They both look great and being the SBJs have Mr. Bose's name on them, I'm not overly concerned with F&F.

Well, the cayenne will be here in a few days. At least I'll be able to find it if I drop it in the woods ;). Thanks again everyone!
