Sway my mind on the 25

I've been thinking about this all day, and hopefully someone can help me figure out what to do. I really like the 25s. REALLY like them. I love small knives, and I've thought about one for quite some time now. However, I find myself using my midtech Companion fixed blade almost constantly and while I've carried it, I have hardly used my pocket knife in the last month. I always carry my TC Barlow, but the past few days I've been carrying the zulu spear that I made a couple years ago. (The house is sold, just waiting on the closing date, so I guess I'm getting nostalgic and sad about not ever being able to make knives in my shop again....)

I saw that GEC was making another run of the 25s and I thought maybe I'd try to snag one this time. I've always loved the pattern and I make it a point to look at the 25 thread every time I stop in, which is weird because I love barlows and never look at the "What makes a good barlow?" thread.

Anyway, I'm to the point in my life where I don't want to spend money on a knife to collect. I've paired down any "collection" to users, although some are too painful to look at, let alone carry. (the super tinker I got with my soon to be ex wife at the first Covered Bridge Festival we went to, the black alox sak I got when we went to Mayo clinic on the day she was diagnosed after years of frustration, the Opinel no 6 Carl gifted me with the admonition that "at the end of every dark road is a field of wild flowers." You get the idea)

If I won't carry a knife, I am not going to buy it. What would you do?

The single bladed 25 is lightweight in your pocket, and is a great cutter. I have quite a few, and love em all. Planning on buying several in this next run coming up. A recommendation....#25 EO in stag with the sheepsfoot....a great knife and a great carrier.

That is the exact configuration I want! Just a nice little knife, plus stag looks great and I'm a huge sucker for EO. I just don't know if I can bring myself to spend the money. I've become a rather tight person lately without meaning to.

These little knives have a way of worming their way into your heart. What to do, to get one, or not to get one, I would feel a terrible loss if anything ever happened to this wee cutter, it is like a part of me now...

Brian You just helped me to decide which knife to use today:D:thumbup:

As you can see, it gets used, it's practical and I find it a very nice companion knife. Find the one you like in the next release and you just won't be able to keep it out of your pocket.

One of the best little work horses out there, I kick myself on a regular basis for selling the last one I had. I am super excited about the new batch coming out. Note on the 2 blade versions the pen blade always seemed to be a nail breaker
