I meant to say saddlehorn .I really like the looks of these 2 patterns but I'm wonder if you prefer one to the other. Never handling either to my eyes it would look like the saddlehorn would be more comfortable in the hand. Anyone have both? Thanks Bob

The saddlehorn is a very ergonomic pattern, both in the pocket and the hand. The rounded butt makes it very comfortable.

Here is an import in ram's horn on which I ground the clip down to a sheepfoot.

These are available from CASE as Tony Bose inspired knives, excellent fit&finish on them at more or less standard CASE price.

I like the Saddlehorn I have in 6.5 Bonestag, thick grooved bone. It is a very comfortable in hand knife as it has a kind of flintlock pistol shape. The Swayback is a pretty knife but I've never found it that good in the hand, plenty can attest otherwise though.

They're really different animals.
In hand, the saddlehorn feels alot like certain trapper frames, allowing for a good grip in push/frontal cuts, not as much in pull/draw cuts. The swayback works just the opposite. Personally, I have found that size is crucial on swayback frames, while saddlehorns tend to be generally comfortable.
Hope this helps.
