Swedge iii

I recently acquired a Swedge III but haven't used it yet. Extremely sharp out of the box but don't know much about it. Any info or opinions would be appreciated. Mainly looking for thoughts on ATS-34 and the angle of the grind, looks really thin to me.

I don't have any experience with the swedge III, good looking knife though. Don't know about the ATS-34 steel either, no experience with it.
The Sog website says that the Swedge III is AUS8 not ATS-34 :confused: Sorry I wasn't much help. :o Hopefully someone will chime in and be able to help you out.:)
 
You can Google 'Swedge III review' and you can watch some video. Just from my observation, it looks like an excellent chisel grind knife, with the flat side to the left (finally!), which will make cutting much easier for right handed people. I must admit that the Swedge was not on my radar until now. I like it. :)
 
I no nothing about the knife, but AUS8 and ATS-34 are both good stainless steels. Thin edges cut better. ;) Oh wait, I guess I do know something. LOL!!

I just stumbled across this knife today at one of the online knife retailers that I frequent. I tried to find info. on Sog's website but it is not listed. Is this knife discontinued?

I really like it!

I cant explain it but if your on sogs web site and type it in, it doesn't show up. If you Google swedge III it will show up as one of the results under the sog site. Try that if i didn't confuse you.
