Swedge on Tank Buster

I'm having real trouble with deciding what option of Tank Buster to get.
After a lot of thinking I think I will get a no choil version with round butt, but I really can't make up my mind if I want a swedge or not. It looks really cool on the photos, but I'm a bit afraid it significantly weakens the tip - and I don't want it as I sometimes pry with my blades. The swedge may also be a problem while batoning as it will be harsh on baton stick. What do you guys think? What version are you getting? Do you think the swedge will be sharpened?
(I know I should get both - one with swedge and one without it, and I'll try :D)

I would say no-swedge if those things are your concern. But I will say the sharpened swedge LOOKS cooler. ;)

Think of the tip of a BATAC vs. a Hell Razor.

The swedge wins for look and penetration.

I would expect the no-swedge to be a bit stronger and more baton friendly.

i don't think it'll be sharpened. nor do i think it'll weaken the tip much. the unsharpened swedges like on the HR and FBM stopped short of the tip. it will probably eat up a baton faster though, so you'd probably want to go without

All good points. One other consideration is that the swedge would remove some weight from the tip, probably giving the knife a more balanced feel at the handle. An example, the Sarsquatch (with swedge) feels light in the hand despite it's size as compared to a chopweiler or other non-swedge blade of similar length.

The non-swedge would be a bit more tip heavy feel and would be a bit better for chopping I think. For hard use, I'd go no-swedge for the strength.
