Can anything think of a good reason for me to sharpen the swedge on my BK7?

Now that i can effortlessly make anything sharp, i'm tempted to pit a nice razor edge on it, but i can't think of why it would be useful

Sounds like a fair fight ;)

All joking aside, I can't think of a single reason to do it.

and check if it's legal where you are...

typically the law says symmetrical (dirks/daggers/double-edge), but cops don't know big words when they wooping your ass :)

but you know, if you don't need it?

Makes it stabbier. When is that not cool? Unless you want to baton with it. I believe bladite called it a "stabby mcstabberson" at some point in a similar thread. :D

Yep, hog hunting and bayonetting! I sharpened the BK7 swedge, but haven't put it to use yet or finished modding it either.

I have plenty of stabby things, I am just not a fan of double edged. But I guess if you don't like it, you can always hit it with a file or something to flatten the bevel out so it isn't sharp.

A sharpened swedge is only good for nasty reasons :D
A back cut in a knife fight or stabbing someone or something.
Here in CA its a no go, but if you can do it legally, go for it!

yeah, don't lean on it when you're cutting something thick...
