Anyone ever heard if CRK will put a swedge on an annual that wasn't made with if it's sent in?

I have two without swedges, but when I see the one with the swedge online I say "darn, that foxy".

Just wondering it this has come up before?

As far as I know CRK will no longer do after market swedges. That said, it can't hurt to drop them a line and ask if they can hit you up. :)

Ah, yup. The 2011s are the ones I noticed. They didn't do it earlier?

I'll go to the source and find out, but I have a feeling they will say no. Bummer. I'll report my findings here. Thanks gentlemen.

They won't add one, I have asked twice:( I have two annuals with swedges, one from 2002 and one from 2010. In the past, it was just an option like double thumb studs are now! I really like the way they look too, I wish they would bring them back.

I wonder if someone else could do it? Mr. Krein perhaps? It doesn't look terribly difficult, a little grinding and polishing.

The trick would be to make it pass for original. Hmmmmmm.

A swedge is not hard to do, really any knife maker or even hobby maker could do it. :)

Not gonna happen. I have begged Angela and even got her to ask the main man and its a no go. No swedges on Annuals, plain Regulars, nothing. Only way is if it came with one originally or if it was added before they changed policy. I have so been there and tried but its just not going to happen. But best of luck. I'd try to find a 2011 Annual that has a swedge as that year that was an option on them. Oh how I miss the Annual.

I have done it to my brothers' Large Regular when he broke about 1-1.5mm of the tip off... Worked really well and I am surprised how nice it looked afterwards.
