A bunch of these Frost's army issue knives on ebay for $9.95 and 6 dollars shipping. Has stainless 4 1/8" blade. Even with green composition handle and molded plastic sheath, it seems like a lot of knife, for a practical user, for 16 bucks including shipping. Anybody know how thick these knives are? Heavier duty than your run of the mill 4" wood handled "mora" knife?

Great B4TB, got them for my huntin' buddies Christmas past.
They arrived sharp, a little leather stroppin had 'em close to scarey.
The sheath is ambi dexterous too.
SMKW has/had them for a dollar less, not sure about their shipping charge.

They are about as thick as Mora knives. But the stainless versions sure are convenient on a salt water boat. Salt water will not hurt them.

For those who want, plain carbon and laminated steel versions are made.

Theres a thing I never understood. Swedish and Army. Swiss Army. Sweds need army when they are neutral? But anyways I liked swiss army knives untill I got mugged one day and in the heat of the moment I pulled my spoon out of the swiss army knife. He told me to eat his ass. Some people....

The Frosts Mora Swedish Armys are great light weight, inexpensive utility knives. If you get one you will probably want a few more! These knives have thin blades (about 0.08”) with Scandinavian grind (no primary grind, only an edge bevel at around 11 degrees per side). The Moras cut very well, but the blades are a little thin for prying.

The plastic sheath that comes with the Swedish Army Knife is fine for carrying in a pack or even in a pocket; but it leaves something to be desired for belt carry. Fortunately, it is easy to rig the sheath up to attach to a belt loop like the A.G. Russell Deer Hunter knife, using a carabineer, double ended snap, or a single snap and a cable tie. The Swedish Army Knife is light enough that you could also rig it up as a neck knife, although it is a little bulky for carry inside your shirt.

Switzerland is the neutral bunch...
Anyways, the Mora laminated steel that I got is so damn sharp, it's the one that consistently cut through leather easily!

And even if a country is neutral it doesn't preclude it from needing an army to defend itself if attacked, and sometimes to keep refugees from neighboring conflict out or under control. They just won't take sides in a conflict between two other nations. I believe the Swiss army did alot of border patrols during WWII.
