Hello Everyone,
I am working on another of the knives inspired by the guys over in Sweden. The blade is done, so I thought I would post it. I will post more pics as things progress. I will post more of the process pics if people are interested. Otherwise, I will just put a few as I go along.

This style of blade is fun to look it. It has a lot of angles and facets. This is also the best mid-high layer twist I have ever done (64 layers, I think). It is 15N20 and W2.

Hope you like. Comments, advice, encouragement, etc. are all welcomed.

Take care,

Kevin

Rolf - thanks. The handle material will be: pattern welded steel for the guard and butt cap (I spent today getting the guard fit, it has the blade sunk into it and is a little rounded on the front face, which is typical for this style). Then there will be birdseye maple and reindeer antler and another piece of maple. That was a horrible description. Forgive me. It will have
1. pattern welded guard
2. block of birdseye maple stained with aqua fortis
3. reindeer antler, white
4. block of birdseye maple stained with aqua fortis
5. and pattern welded butt cap.

This kind of guard is a pain in the butt to fit. I have to use milling machine, flex shaft, and chisels.

thanks for the kind words.
