This is a portion of an email I received yesterday...

"Hey Craig I was waiting until this thing got its own website but check this out."

"Oh by the way you are in it big time Dude."

It is from my friend "Zeke" that I was in the Navy with and apparently, he has written a book. I have read the 60 pages previewed on line and I have ordered a couple of copies of the book.

What he has written is the absolute, unadulterated, truth. This is no doubt what it is like be a sailor in the Navy. This is not about the ships, not about the cruises, it is about the sailor. I have heard many of the happenings that occur in the book and knew some of the guys he has written about.

Some of the language is of course "salty" but that is a lot of what you hear, part of the seafaring culture. I am somewhat (amusingly) concerned what he may have written about me. I suppose I will have to wait until I receive the book to read the remainder.

Jeff, or "Zeke" as we called him, was the penultimate Navy buddy and I still keep in touch with him (as is evident or you wouldn't be reading this right now!).

The question I ask is: "Do I really want to be reminded of those oh so wonderful days and times?"

Thanks for the heads-up,

I'll think about it.

I am the same way. It definitely wasn't a pleasure cruise. This is a story of a guy's enlistment and what he endured while being in the Navy.

I haven't laughed this hard in a long time!

Craig
