I'm aware of the thread a week ago about how to do sweeping plunges and I can do them. I start at the apex of the sweep and grind the bevels normally then hang the belt 1/4" off the wheel and work my way backwards with success. The problem is I can't get the start of the plunge to the same depth of grind as a normal plunge without wrecking the sweep ? Am I missing something ? I'd like for the sweeping plunges to be crisp and the same thickness not tapered towards the start or is that not possible on the Ole Craftsman or is it just me .
