Hello All, here's my Friday Buck Knife... I got this one in a small Collection...
M9 Phrobis III Field Knife Model 188... This is one cool knife from Buck...

Thanks for the photos . Even though this is the shorter model still substantial ... I see bikers pull into truck stops wearing the M9 II a 7" model . I've held a few of these an they are awsome . No wonder the Army was impressed . DM

Thanks fritz, it's different from the knives I buy... But for $40 I love this one... It's just a sweet Buck and a lot of knife... ITE ... :thumbup: ... :D: ... :thumbup:

Thanks David, I don't NO anything about these M9s... I didn't even know it was shorter than others... Thanks for the info... ITE ... :thumbup:

Fritz, more like a sweet deal... LOL ... You should see what my Son and wife got yesterday... There lucky for sure... Maybe she will post some pics tomorrow on the Sunday Picture Show... ITE ... :thumbup:

Outstanding find ITE!

It looks to be in very good condition. And you can't complain about the bargain price.

Thanks Oregon, it's like new... If you come to San Diego let me know and I'll point the way... I can't say that you'll find some bucks, but I can tell you where I go... ITE ... ;) :D

I have one of those, still with the box, stamped ">" It has a nylon pouch on the outside of the sheath secured by straps going through the oval "eyes" on the edge of the sheath. I always thought the wirecutter was a pretty clever bit of design engineering. :D

I didn't get the box and papers with this one... But for $40 I was more than happy... I got the pouch for it, I just didn't take a pic with it on... I will put a Bucklite in it and put it back on before it goes in the collection... I hope to get a new show case soon for I can show some of my knives off... :D... ITE
 
Up to my eyeballs at work...maybe next weekend...:(...the sticker is a hoot so taking the pouch off was a good idea.

The price sticker on mine say $99.99, IIRC. I think it goes back to the 80s (didn't check the date code chart)...that was more then than it is now... :(
