I like it. I have a buddy of mine that works for Oakley. Apparantly, they made a very large skull for his front door out of CNC'ed aluminum that looks pretty similar to this one. Very cool.

Hmm. The outline of the skulls looks lasered then ground for the relief. Tumbled afterwards.

Too rough for laser cut.

I'm betting CNC plasma cut.

I would still guess laser with air assist. Plasma has a much bigger kerf and would have a problem in the inner holes getting the tight radii. Having a rough cut like that is not unusual on laser when the cut is that thick. I used to run a 1500 watt laser and that looks pretty typical of the cut we got with the air assist. Looks to me like the grinding is done by hand. Some of the samples on the site vary slightly from one another as far as the relief goes.
