looks and feels even nicer in person than in pics. i'm a newbie when it comes to knives/hiking/camping but i have a feeling i didn't make a newbie mistake here. now i can't wait to get the rc-3!

I really like the ESEE-5 a lot. Is it the ESEE-5 or still RC-5? I'm confused. But it is a great very solid knife it was in my hiking pack today when i hiked.

Congrats on the new knife. The knife does look great, though I worry it'd be too thick of a blade for what I want/like. Will be great in any case.

Comes down to what the store has in stock. Knivesshipfree.com has both versions of the company's knives. Some old(er) RC6 stock with the ESEE6 too.

Looks very nice. Anyone know what the little circle cutout is for on the slabs? Maybe a spot to put a medallion or very small compass glued in?

Congrats on your new blade! Seeing that plastic bag brings back memories...of a few weeks ago!

Posts like this make me want a 5. That's the ESEE I thought I'd never buy. Tempting! :D

I love it, It's fun, It's bombproof, It's great for grab and go day hikes, and as a trunk knife. But it never seems to make it to my pack...

the scales were turning into brown from all the fondling i've been doing. was planning on using black fabric dye tomorrow but can't sleep...so out comes the sharpie :D
