Just got the neck knife and need a flesh colered lanyard-any sugestions where to buy one?

Last I checked flesh comes in many colors. Brown, beige, pink, black, yellow, tan, red, cafe o lait, egg-shell. What color do you mean?

LOL!

I bet he probably meant, "What used to be known as 'Crayola Flesh' before P.C." :p

Then again, I guess it's an assumption on my part to even say "HE probably meant."

Actually flesh is pretty much the same color on the underside.

I don't remember seeing any "flesh" colored cord. :o

What kind of lanyard are you looking for. I made one just last night in desert tan. It's designed as a neck lanyard.

P.S.

If your just looking for a length of tan cord, let me know.

WOW!!

A King Cobra sinnet and a pair of Knife Lanyard (Diamond) knots!

Someone knows his stuff, there! I'm very impressed!

See, I too love to work with paracord and do knots like that. It's very rare that I meet someone else who knows nearly enough to do that kind of work. Very nice, Ghostrider!

How would you employ that as a neck lanyard, though? What would go around the neck, what would you hang from it and how, and is there a breakaway provision in case it were to get caught? (Not that I always have one myself, so I don't mean to be a hypocrite and suggest that you're doing something deplorable or recklessly dangerous.)

Oh, and off the topic, I saw a trailer for the live-action movie version of Ghostrider! I had no idea they were making it a movie, and then boom, there before X-Men III was this trailer! (Nicholas Cage as Johnny Blaze... hmmm...)

Anyway, thought I'd tell you in case you didn't already know.

Yeah, I've been waiting for the movie to come out. I think Nicholas Cage should make a great Johnny Blaze.

As for your question of the neck lanyard . Some people like to carry various things from them. This one is probably more useful as a ID card lanyard however, someone may find another use for it. I've seen pics of people hanging flashlights from thier neck. I put a trigger clip on it. There is no break-away provision for this paticular one, but that's easy to do as there are fittings available for that sort of thing. I may just have to order some.

If you like this kind of stuff, you should check out the Spyderco factory forum.

Here's another one (not a neck lanyard) for you.

King Cobra Sinnet, two Knife Lanyard Knots, and a Cobra Twist.

BOT:

I would think that a lanyard for the Swick would consist of mainly just a piece of cord threaded through the sheath.

Does anyone have an example of what this "flesh" color looks llike (seriously)?

Ghostrider, sorry I can't send you a PM (not a paid member)... I'm curious about how you accomplish those sinnets. Are they separate segments of cord?

As far as cord colors, the largest variety I have come across is at ubraidit.com

Theirs is "650 cord" (as opposed to the common "550 cord") -- allegedly 650 lb. test. Of course, we all know you would not be wise to attempt to use this stuff for human-weight suspension or lifesaving activities. But I have used plenty of it for the purpose of tying kayaks to cars for years, and it's good, strong stuff. I also make projects like skydiver closing pin necklaces, using a four strand round braid. I love working with paracord.

This is for the sheath for your Swick right? Am I correct in that your probably looking for just a length of cord of the right color? Or, did you have something else in mind?

What did you think about the color of the tan lanyard I showed? That's sort of close to my skin color, although not exact.

ghostrider has orange skin!

Oh the tan one - the tan one.....

Actually the tan should work pretty well on most of us "just pay your taxes and shut up/sit down - thats all were here for white guys........." (What you were expecting services??)

It also depends on what shirt color you are wearing. I have used basic black cord under more opaque type shirts that I wear and have had no problems - at least not with the brothers....
