Looking to get into this. Just kinda wondering what some of the tip and tricks or what to expect are. I am looking at getting a iROD genesis II 7'8 Jr swimbait rod and a tatula hd for it. Let me know what ya think

I fish swim baits with a pitching or flipping rod.
Chunk 'em out and crank 'em back.

If you've got a rod that can handle the weight... use it.

So much of these specialty rigs are designed to separate you from your money.
Being a crumudgeon, I'd say 75% of the lures as well.

That's about what I figured.
I ordered the iROD rod and the tatula hd 6.3
I also ordered the jackall ganteral and Savage Gear 3D Shine Glide Bait to start with. That granteral is the most expensive bait i have ever spent on a single Lure and some of them get down right ridiculous, like the Roman made ones. Luckily TW is having a 15% off Sale plus I get the 10% military discount so I saved about 70 bucks on all of it

Is it bad when I here swim bait I think of a paddle tail on a jig head?
I fish my swimbaits on a ml or m power spinning rod :)

Get a jackall gant. They are super sexy in the water. As for what to expect, don't expect too much at first but expect that rod to fly out of your hands if you aren't paying attention. Swimbait are slow fishing for the most part but when one commits it's most always a beast

I am using a tatula hd that I believe is a 6.3.1

Used my setup for creek fishing today using a 5" shad glide and was catching them anywhere from 10" to 3lbers. They are super aggressive in the creek I fish. Caught probably 10 of them. It was funny seeing a .5 lb bass go after a bait almost as long as it.
I was working it like a injured shad and they can't say no to that.

Also have a I slide 185 on the way as well, can't wait to see that one in action
