Swinden construction on only some OTs?

Until today, I thought all Old Timers used the Swinden construction- keyhole pin in a liner slot.

Yet, looking at a 3OT I got in a contest recently, I have an exception. I can clearly see the pivot pin on both sides. Is this a quirk of the lockbacks?

in sketches in above patent link, am i correct that #34 is the Swinden keyhole, and #50 is the Swinden pin ? i tried to print this page, but it comes out without the sketches; because it's a patent ? thanks, roland

thanks Codge, i first came to blade forums not only to learn about knives, but because i had just gotten a computer and wanted to practise and learn to use it.
my educations continue.

A better illustration of the pin is on page 3 of the drawings, #86. #50 is a hollow in the bolster allowing the pin to enter and slide into the slot #34.
